I want to recommend our new course on Designer Drugs. I didn't really know much about this topic before doing research for this course. I remember seeing the term "synthetic marijuana" several years ago and not knowing what that meant. After researching and writing this course I now know more than I ever thought I'd know about synthetic cannabinoids, bath salts, and synthetic hallucinogens. This topic is a real eye-opener. It's the intersection of recreational drugs, organized crime, chemical innovation, social media, and absolute, unvarnished greed. The people making these drugs have zero concern for the effects their experimentation is having on naive, mostly young users. They're exploiting gaps in the law, rapidly changing the chemical make-up of these drugs, and marketing them as safe alternatives to marijuana and other commonly used drugs. Designer drugs are a scam, they're incredibly dangerous, and the people pushing these drugs could care less about the end user.
